A Large Ottoman Calligraphic Devotional Panel Featuring the Prophet’s Mosque and Tughra.

An elaborate and highly detailed large Ottoman calligraphic panel featuring an ornate and multi-register composition. The upper section contains a prominent imperial tughra, likely of an Ottoman sultan, surrounded by intricate floral arabesques. Below, a finely rendered depiction of the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina is framed by Quranic calligraphy and ornamental cartouches. The centrepiece includes a circular geometric calligraphic medallion with meticulously inscribed script radiating from a central seal. Additional inscriptions occupy the margins and lower band, integrating Quranic verses, invocations, and praises for the Prophet Muhammad.
