Lot 84: An Indian Glass-Set Jade Lobed Plaque
An Indian glass-set jade lobed plaque, featuring a finely inlaid floral design on one side. The decoration consists of a central seven-petaled flower with a colorless cabochon center and six red cabochons, from which intricate gilt-inlaid stems branch outwards, bearing numerous additional red, a few colorless, and small green cabochon ‘buds’ or ‘berries’. The dark green jade plaque has a plain reverse, displaying natural striations in the stone and a central area of surface abrasion.

Good overall condition, exhibiting wear consistent with age. No visible text or markings. The reverse displays a central area of surface abrasion.
