Lot 78: A Chinese Chenghua Doucai Dragon Pattern Bowl, Possibly Ming Dynasty
The bowl is decorated with vibrant polychrome enamels. The exterior features two opposing five-clawed dragons in green and blue with red and white accents, surrounded by scrolling floral motifs in blue, red, and yellow against an off-white ground, bordered by a blue line at the rim. The interior basin mirrors this design with a central five-clawed dragon amidst similar scrolling florals. The base reveals an underglaze blue six-character mark within a double ring, reading "大明成化年製" (Dà Míng Chénghuà nián zhì), which translates to "Made in the Great Ming Chenghua Period."
