A Chinese Qing Kangxi Famille Verte Character Story Plate. This circular porcelain plate is richly decorated with vibrant polychrome enamels. The central scene depicts a narrative featuring several figures in traditional attire, one on horseback, within a mountainous landscape with trees, an animal, and a parasol. This detailed scene is encircled by an ornate border of stylized floral and foliate designs in green, brown, blue, orange, and pink hues. The reverse features an underglaze blue six-character mark, which translates to "Made in the Great Qing Kangxi Period, " alongside subtle underglaze blue and overglaze green floral sprigs.
