Lot 75: A Chinese Famille Rose Red-Ground 'Shou' Medallion Bowl, Yongzheng Mark
A Chinese Famille Rose red-ground medallion bowl, likely from the Qing Dynasty. The exterior is characterized by an iron-red ground profusely decorated with multi-colored floral scrolls and auspicious ‘Shou’ (寿) characters. Four white-ground medallions encircle the body, each depicting a bird amidst flowering branches of peony, prunus, or lotus. The rim is banded with yellow ruyi-head motifs and blue scrollwork, while the footring features a light blue geometric pattern. The interior is glazed white and decorated with a flowering branch in pink and green. The base bears a blue underglaze four-character mark reading "御製雍正" (Yùzhì Yōngzhèng), translating to "Imperially made, Yongzheng period."
