Lot 72: A Chinese Blue and White Celadon Glazed 'Eight Horses' Vase, Kangxi Style
This porcelain vase features a tapering body with a short neck and flared rim, adorned with underglaze blue depictions of multiple horses in various poses on a white ground, characteristic of the ‘Eight Horses’ motif popular during the Kangxi period. The upper portion, including the shoulder and neck, is covered in a celadon-green crackle glaze. The base bears a four-character underglaze blue mark, "御製馨德堂" (Yuzhi Xindetang), which translates as "Made for the Hall of Fragrant Virtue."
