Its surface is intricately adorned with a combination of bold Arabic calligraphy in multiple bands, extensive interlacing geometric patterns, and fine arabesque foliate motifs, all highlighted in a contrasting golden tone against a darker, patinated background. Two ornate, animal-headed handles or suspension loops, each embellished with small turquoise-colored inlays and ending in an S-shaped hook, are attached to the sides.
