Lot 58: A Chinese Polychrome Enamelled 'Dragon' Bowl, Daoguang Mark
A small, footed porcelain bowl, finely decorated with a five-clawed white dragon featuring green detailing, set amidst vibrant red and yellow flame-like elements against a rich cobalt blue ground. The rim is adorned with a yellow and pink geometric fretwork pattern, while the base features green stylized waves. The interior of the bowl is white. The base carries a red overglaze seal mark which translates to ‘Da Qing Dao Guang’ (大清道光), indicating an origin from the Qing Dynasty, Daoguang period (1820-1850).
