Lot 39: A Chinese Bronze Zoomorphic 'Tiger's Head' Fitting, Possibly Zhou Dynasty
A Chinese bronze zoomorphic fitting, possibly Zhou Dynasty, possibly Eastern Zhou or Warring States period, and described as a ‘tiger’s head’ type. This bronze zoomorphic fitting, possibly a rhyton, features a stylized animal head, possibly a ram or mythical creature, at one end, and an open, rectangular socket at the other. The animal’s prominent eyes and coiled features on the head are discernible.

Condition report:
The apparent condition includes surface pitting, accretions, and overall wear consistent with an antique bronze artifact. The structural integrity appears stable. Patination is multi-toned and consistent with age. No visible repairs or restorations.
