Lot 206: Salah al-Din Ghazal, Contemporary Islamic Calligraphy Painting, 'Iqra' and 'Bismillah'
A contemporary painting on stretched canvas by Salah al-Din Ghazal, featuring Islamic calligraphy. The central composition displays prominent black and white geometric Arabic calligraphy, forming the word "اقْرَأْ" (Iqra – ‘Read!’ or ‘Recite!’), intricately stylized to resemble an architectural or cityscape form.
