Lot 20: A Chinese Famille Rose Yellow-Ground 'Children at Play' Medallion Bowl, Kangxi Mark

A Chinese Famille Rose yellow-ground ‘children at play’ medallion bowl. The deep body features a flared rim and a vibrant yellow footring. The exterior is adorned with multiple circular reserves, each depicting lively scenes of children playing in a natural landscape with trees and fences. These reserves are set against an intricate blue and pink geometric lattice ground, interspersed with yellow and containing small floral motifs. The interior is plain white. The base bears a blue underglaze four-character mark, ‘康熙御製’ (Kāngxī Yùzhì), which translates to ‘Made for Imperial Use during the Kangxi reign.’
