Lot 179: A Chinese Famille Verte 'Figure Story' Brush Pot, Kangxi Mark
A Chinese Famille Verte brush pot, bearing a Kangxi mark. This cylindrical porcelain vessel is adorned with polychrome enamel decoration, depicting a vibrant narrative scene featuring several male figures in traditional attire, possibly warriors or immortals, positioned within a landscape of trees, rocks, and architectural elements including a bridge. Double underglaze blue lines border the rim and foot. The recessed base bears a six-character imperial mark in underglaze blue, reading "大清康熙年製" (Dà Qīng Kāngxī Nián Zhì), which translates to "Made in the Kangxi reign of the Great Qing dynasty."
