Lot 17: A Chinese Doucai 'Dragon' Bowl, Ming Chenghua Mark
A Chinese Doucai ‘Dragon’ Bowl, bearing a Ming Chenghua Mark. This porcelain bowl features a rounded body, everted rim, and a recessed footring. It is decorated in polychrome enamels, including underglaze blue, depicting several vigorous five-clawed dragons in yellow and grey-blue with red flame-like elements, set amidst scrolling floral and foliate motifs on both the exterior and interior surfaces. The foot is encircled by a colorful band of stylized petals. The base bears an underglaze blue six-character reign mark within a double rectangle, reading "大明成化年製" (Dà Míng Chénghuà Nián Zhì), which translates to "Made in the Chenghua reign of the Great Ming dynasty."

Condition report:
Extensive fine crackling (crazing) to the glaze, particularly evident on the base and lower body. No major chips, cracks, or repairs are immediately discernible upon visual inspection.
