Lot 142: A Chinese Yellow Ground Dragon Dish, Possibly Qing Dynasty
A Chinese yellow ground dragon dish, crafted from elaborately enameled porcelain with a scalloped, gilded rim. The central decoration features a prominent five-clawed green dragon amidst stylized clouds and flames within a bright yellow ground. This central motif is framed by a rich purple band adorned with intricate scrolling lotus and other floral patterns, further encircled by a green band with two additional green dragons coiling amidst similar foliate designs. The extensive polychrome enamel decoration employs a vivid palette including greens, purples, yellows, pinks, and blues, typically outlined in black.

Condition report:
Very good overall condition. Enamel colors are strong and well-preserved. Gilding is intact with minor wear consistent with age. No visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
