Lot 138: A Lot of Three Chinese White Metal Hairpins
A lot of three antique Chinese white metal hairpins. The most elaborate hairpin features a prominent spherical finial with intricate wirework, connected by chains to a central square panel adorned with a repoussé floral motif; four additional chains extend from this panel, each terminating in a carved green jade leaf. A small bell also hangs from the spherical finial. The second hairpin has a paddle-shaped finial extensively engraved with foliate patterns, surmounted by a three-dimensional mythical creature, possibly a foo dog or similar auspicious animal. The third hairpin displays a simpler elongated finial decorated with engraved floral and scroll patterns.

Condition report:
Good condition. All items exhibit varying degrees of surface tarnishing consistent with age. Structurally sound with no apparent breaks or repairs.
