A Safavid tinned copper bowl, Persia, 17th Century. This wide, shallow, and rounded basin-form bowl is crafted from silver-toned metal, exhibiting a visible hammered texture. The upper body features a prominent band of intricate Arabic calligraphy, which translates to "Perpetual glory, increasing prosperity, lasting dominion, lofty grace, good fortune, happiness, glad tidings, and well-being." Below this inscription, the body is adorned with engraved medallions containing arabesque foliate motifs interspersed with geometric patterns.
