A pair of Islamic Persian bronze lion figures in 12th Century style. Each figure is of hollow, openwork construction, depicting a stylized feline-like mythical creature. The body is intricately pierced with dense scrollwork, featuring a distinct collar-like band around the neck leading to a stylized head with pointed ears. One figure exhibits an elaborate, upward-curving tail resembling a dragon or stylized flame, while the other’s tail is similarly raised but less ornate.
